April 22 - It is a cold, wet day.  We haven't planned to do very much today.  I still have Doug's income tax to complete, so that is my day gone.  Tomorrow I have my final interview before finding out if I have a full-time job or not.  Sure sounds favorable.  This past week has been a real whirlwind of things that had to get done.  Another week and life should return close to being normal.

See you next week!

April 21 - We met Jody at Lin's Place, a restaurant just off of Hwy 401 and County 21.  They have a great breakfast at a reasonable price.  Rachael had came along with Jody, so it was a nice family breakfast.  After breakfast, we head up to the farm where the storage trailer is kept.  We had to wait until the owner of the boat and trailer, which was ahead of our storage trailer, arrived to move it out of the way, so we could get our trailer out.  Soon they were there and all the trailers were moved around.  We followed Jody and our trailer back to Tilbury.

Soon the trailer was parked and it was time to back the Model A out.  It hadn't seen the light of day in nearly three years.

Doug was hoping that the buyer would not come in one breath and hoping that he would show up soon in the next.  He had real mixed feelings about selling his baby.  We do not have a place to finish it at, nor does he have the health to finish it.  So it is best that someone else buys it to finish and enjoy it.

Here is another look at it out of the trailer

There was very little left to finish, but we were not going to get it done.  Rachael's jeep also made it into this shot.  It is still a bit muddy from their last adventure.

Dave soon arrived, bought the 1930 Model A and had it loaded on the trailer for the trip to the Model A's new home north/west of London, Ontario.

We will miss the car, but our bank account sure liked the boast.  Maybe Doug will find something in our travels that he can't live without and he will have the extra cash to buy it.  I hope that it isn't another car.  We have no place to park it.

After the Model A left for its new home, we hooked our storage trailer back up to Jody's truck and he delivered it to Bob and Deb's place.  We arrived back at our campground tired and happy.  The owner of the campground wanted to see our storage trailer.  It is now larger then what we need.  Doug told him it was at Bob and Deb's and the campground owner wanted to bring it down here.  It now looks like our storage trailer is sold also.  We will have to buy a smaller one to store all of our goodies in.

This one is way to large for us now, especially after we have another yardsale.  This week we will have to find a new trailer and get everything transferred from our old one to the new one.  Wish us luck!

April 19- We had to Chatham today.  I have been thinking about getting a summer job.  There is a job fair on for a new call center in Chatham.  It would be an easy job and the pay is not bad either.  I miss working.  My previous employer wants me to fill in on holidays, but that is only going to be about four weeks this summer.  I am sure that I can do that plus the call center, if I get the job.  Where there is a will there is a way.  I like contributing to my Canada Pension Plan whenever I get the opportunity.  Soon I will be drawing CPP and the more I add to it now, the more I can receive then.

We arrived in Chatham around noon.  We had mad a quick stop in Blenheim and I had posted my income tax.  Doug's still needs a bit more work.  I went into the job fair and came out two interview later.  The third interview is Monday at 9:00 a.m.  Wow!  I could be working real soon.

April 18 - It was a short drive to our summer place.  We arrived in the early afternoon and was able to get backed in and set up for the summer.  It is a nice site, with a great view of the bay.

April 16 -17 We are still in our son and daughter-in-laws driveway, until our summer park opens.  We have been completing income taxes for different family members that I help every year.  We have been to the doctor for our prescription refills and to schedule test for Doug.  We have also been in contact with a guy that is interested in buying Doug's Model A car.  We can't bring our storage trailer here until we move the coach to our summer site.  We will be doing both by the end of the week.
