Smooth 'n Sinful Irish Cream Liqueur

 

 

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Servings: 4 cups (1 L)

What You'll Need What's Next

1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand®

1 to 1 1/2 cups (250 to 375 mL) Irish whiskey*

1 cup (250 mL) table cream

1 tbsp (15 mL) chocolate syrup

1/2 tsp (2 mL) coconut extract (optional)

In blender container, combine Eagle Brand, whiskey, cream, syrup and coconut extract.

Cover and blend until smooth.

Serve over crushed ice, if desired.

 

*1 cup (250 mL) cold coffee can be substituted in place of the Irish Whiskey

 Ingredients

 Directions

1 cup instant coffee granules, different flavors
can be used for variety
12 cups boiling water
8 cups granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 whole vanilla bean, split lengthwise and seeded*
1 fifth pure grain alcohol
1 pint brandy

*4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract can be used instead of the vanilla bean, just add with alcohol after mixture is cooled

Mix coffee granules, water, vanilla bean, baking soda, and sugar. Mix well and bring to a boil, allow to boil gently until sugar and coffee granules are totally dissolved. Allow mixture to cool completely. Add both alcohols and mix well. Pour into bottles - dark ones seem to work the best - and store in a dark, cool place for at least a week.
