May 28 - June 3, 2007 Amazing, we are into June already. June 3rd - We drove into Chatham, after our usual Sunday breakfast of bacon and eggs. We had a visit with Butch, our friend, who allowed us to have a yard sale at their place. Soon we heard Jody coming. He has a Cummings motor in his Dodge truck. Hear him coming for quite a distance. Jody checked the tires, hooked up the trailer and we were on our way. Doug went with Jody for some Father/Son time and I followed in our car. Soon the trailer was safely tucked back into the storage barn at another friends place. We can relax now and concentrate on other things that need attention. This website for one. See you next week! There is a storm coming our way.
Looks like some rain, thunder and lightning. Wow! the light show over the bay will be awesome! I am looking forward to seeing the lighting. Mother Natures light shows beats manmade ones every time. The storm looked a lot worse then what we got. We receives some very strong winds for about 36 hours and some rain. We were lucky once again. I have been adding new info this week. There are numerous new e-books which you can download. They are guide e-books and travel books, which I have selected. Hope you have time to have a peek! Lots of links at the top of the e-books page. Also added a report by a child, about RV life. It is interesting and hilarious, to have a glimpse of our lives, through the eyes of a child. June 2 - Today is our last attempt at lightning the load in our storage trailer. There is a chance of rain today. If it does, we won't be keeping the trailer in Chatham for a third attempt. We will take it back to our storage area and forget about it for this year. We were in Chatham, our our friends house early. They had their yard sale bargains on display already. We weren't long getting our stuff out and on display. The sales were not brisk, but what we sold took several hundred pounds of weight out of the trailer. We were happy. The clouds started rolling in around noon. We decided that the main part of our selling day was finished, so we packed everything away. Just as we were closing the doors on the trailer the sky opened like a tropical rain. We were very lucky to have put our unsold items away, when we did. Tomorrow we move the trailer back to storage. We left Chatham and drove back towards Blenheim. There had been no rain fall today in Blenheim. It had stopped about the half way mark. Incredible! We did some grocery shopping on the way home. We kicked back and relaxed the rest of the day. June 1 - We finally had a relaxing day. We picked Art (our 91 year old neighbor from our sticks and brick house) shortly after 4 p.m. We are taking him over to The Rovers, and English Pub, just west of Wallaceburg. It is our favourite fish and chip restaurant - delicious, always. We are meeting 5 more friends over there for a nice friendly meal and chat. As usual, the Fish and Chips were great and so was the conversation. We all had a good time. We drove Art home and then continued on to our summer seasonal site at Summer Place. Tomorrow is our second attempt at a yard sale. May 28 - May 31 - We have been kept busy with appointments with Doctors, for Doug. There has been all kinds of medical test and will continue to be more test, examinations and self-help classes in June. We are hoping that all of the test will turn up some answers. Time will tell.
