We were up early and on our way again. The weather is nice here, but Doug wants HOT weather, if possible. We will soon see! We continued our southerly route and still have another day to go, before our next reservation at Lazy Palms. We are scheduled to stay there for 1 week and then we will be heading further south to the Brownsville area. We drove the best part of the day and ended up driving right by the turn for Lazy Palms. We saw a sign for Cactus Gardens and decided to stop for the night. The park is very reasonable. They said the monthly charge was $165.00/month. It is under new management and work is planned. The park needs a lot of clean up, like grass cutting and clearing of the underbrush under the trees behind the camp sites. All of this seems to be in the works and it is close to grocery stores, restaurants etc. If you need an economy place to park, this place would do the job quite nicely. We stayed the one night and headed back to Lazy Palms. We booked in and settled in for the week. We didn't have much planned, just to enjoy being where there was grass, even though none of it was green at this time of the year. Everyone is friendly here and we have all that we need. Sunshine, warm days and grass. 8) After a couple of days we started to discuss our next move. We were scheduled to go further south, but Doug thinks we should see if we can just stay here for a couple more weeks. I went to the office and was able to arrange it, no problem. There isn't anything close here, as far as stores and attractions, but it suits us. I cancelled our other two reservations further south. Here is a photo of this RV Park. I went for a walk around the outside of the park most mornings for a bit of exercise. Very seldom saw any other walkers. The outside route is supposed to be close to a mile. They had a real nice laundry so I caught up on ours. There is also lots going on in the clubhouse. We took a drive to Edinburg and found the local grocery stores. Everything seems to be lower in price here. We like that. Beside that, we just soaked up the sunshine and the warm weather here.
