Feb. 11- Where has the winter gone.  In two months from now we will be in Davison, Michigan ready to cross back over into Ontario, Canada for the summer.

There are numerous people from Canada and especially Ontario at the parks we have stayed in this winter.  There are several couple from Ontario in this park right now.  Maybe we will meet some of them.  Doug took the bicycles off of the rack so we can now bicycle around the park.  It is a good way to meet people.

We plan on going to a very large flea market over in Webster tomorrow.  Doug is still looking for a particular style of hat.  Hopefully he will find it tomorrow.  He has more hats then I do shoes.  It will be interesting to see what the hat looks like, when he finally buys one.  I am not really looking for anything, so maybe I won't find anything to buy.  That would be a first.  We hope it doesn't rain.  We don't know if the flea market is in a building or all open air.  It will be our adventure for tomorrow.

Feb. 9-10 - The days are just flying by.  I have no idea where they go.  We went for a drive south yesterday on US-27 looking for a flea market we had driven by on Feb. 7th.  We never did find it.  We did have a nice lunch out at the local Hardy's.  Doug likes the burgers and I like the Southwest salad.

Today we drove north on US-27 looking for a flea market.  We didn't find one that way either.  I don't think we drove far enough in either direction, but we didn't want to go to one if it was a 50 mile drive to find it.

Today the weather was great.  It was foggy again this morning.  The fog soon burned off and it was in the 70's.  Doesn't get much better then that.

Just another couple of days in paradise.

Feb. 8- We arrived at Bee's RV yesterday, and the park in close to being full.  It is a Coast to Coast Deluxe park.  Many of the Coast to Coast parks in Florida have left Coast to Coast, so the ones that are left are trying their best to accommodate everyone, to give them a place in the sun.  The original site they assigned us to was down in the trees.  We couldn't get a TV signal and Doug didn't like the leaves and twigs that were dropping off of the trees.  I went to the office and they said they liked to keep everyone happy and assigned us to another site.  It is much noisier, with the traffic from US-27 right behind us, but we have excellent satellite signal on both dishes, so all is well.

Last night the furnace came on several times.  We are not used to hearing the furnace.  It has been warm enough, further south, not to require heat at night.  Every time the furnace came on I woke up.  I will get used to hearing it again, but would prefer not to hear if coming on.  That means it is cold outside.

There was a heavy fog this morning and soon the sun was up burning it all away.  Now it is another beautiful day, without a cloud in site.  The windows and door is open to the fresh air.  What more could a person ask for.  Life is good.

Feb. 5th - 7th We have had a couple of rainy days.  It could be worse, like that four letter word "SNOW"!  Luckily we don't have to worry about it here.  We have just settled in and it is moving day again on Wednesday.  We have little to do to prepare for the move.  We didn't take out the lawn chairs, nor did we take down the bikes.  We just have to dis-assemble our satellite internet dish tomorrow afternoon.

I did manage to get a few photos.

the sun wasn't shining this day, you can see all the water laying on the street.

but never fear, the sun always shines again, if we just wait long enough.

the buzzards or some other bird of prey, circled late every afternoon over  the river.  Must of been something interesting to keep bringing them back.

We had a good size site at Peace River Preserve.  It was a little noisy because there was a pumping station at the back of the lot, but we got used to it.  We had plenty of room, a good view of the south sky, and intermittent sunshine.  What more could we ask for.

We moved onto this site Feb. 1st and on Feb. 6th Doug said look at the electric cable.  I did, and this is what I saw.  Someone has been real busy.  Or should I say hundreds of someone's has been busy.

The ants had completely covered our electrical cable in just 5 days.  Talk about being able to move a mountain one shovelful at a time.  What about moving it, one grain of sand at a time!

We haven't seem an alligator all winter.  On one of my morning walks, I thought, after seeing this sign, that I might finally see one

It is over exposed but the message is still quite clear.  I looked, and looked, when finally I spotted not one, but two of the ugly critters.  This is the first one

Not much danger here unless he short circuits.  This is the other one and he had company with him

I don't think that we have to worry about these dangerous creatures.  I thought they were kinda cute myself.

This giant pine tree was all decked out in Spanish moss trailing from the branches.  The sun shining through made a very interesting contrast.  Better seen in person.  It does show the storm blowing away and the sun shining bright through the pine tree.  A nice end to the day.

Tuesday - Feb. 7th- I went to the grocery store and we packed up the satellite dish.  Tomorrow we move further north around Clermont.  I hope it is warm there.  We are getting further north then we usually do, at this time of year.  We will see.
