We will add to this page as we find suggestions and solutions to frugal living.

How we stay in Five Star Resorts for a very low (under $100.00)yearly membership

If we go into a grocery store or any type of store that offers discounts if you have their free membership card, I always take the time to fill out the application and benefit from the discounts the store offers.  I then keep one of their cards in my purse to use as we travel.  I really like the small key chain cards with the corresponding barcode on it.  They take up very little room in my wallet or purse and are always easy to find and use.  I have saved hundreds of dollars every year by shopping at different grocery stores and using their discount cards.  Winn Dixie is one of my favorite stores.

We do not use the expensive RV toilet paper.  We have found any one ply that is septic tank safe is also safe for our use.  We like the Charmin or Angel 1-ply.

If we go out for a meal at a restaurant we will usually check for a seniors menu.  We have found as we age, we don't eat as much, so why buy a regular portion when we are quite happy with a seniors portion.  It is also better for the waistline.

We also check to see if they have extra specials for seniors during off hours.  We have found that we can save considerable $$$'s by going for a early dinner.  The hours for extra senior discounts are usually between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.  After the lunch rush and before the dinner rush.  It works for us and we enjoy a meal out without breaking the budget.

If we are going to see anything we usually check for a senior rate.  Often they will not give the special rate to you unless you ask, so always look for that special pricing for seniors.

If you have some frugal RV living you would like to share with others, just email me and I would be happy to share them here.
