We hope you all had a memorial weekend, whether it was Canada Day or Independence Day!!!

It was a very busy weekend here at the park.  Numerous people were out to enjoy their camping experience on this long weekend.

Monday everyone had packed up and headed back to the working world.  There are very few, beside us, that stay here through the week.  There are some that come and go, throughout the week.  It is a very quiet place, accept for the wind off of the bay.  It rattles the leaves in the poplar trees constantly.  Poplar trees has a very distinct sound when their leaves are rattled by the wind.

We drove into Blenheim and had breakfast with Jody and Rachael, also Debbie and Gerry.  We had a great breakfast because it was with FAMILY.  The shared time was short but memorial.  We look forward to the next time.

The rest of the week was very quiet.  We are starting to plan out our winter travels and we are hoping that Doug will have everything completed medically, so that we will be able to go to Texas as planned.  We will know within the next couple of weeks.

Next week is a work week, so it means some  long days, compared to what I am used to.

I didn't take any photos this week so will share a couple with you from our archives.

This is the first Church I went to as a child.  It is Bethel Church in the Wildwood.  The first school I attended was across the road, directly behind where I was standing to take this photo of the Church.  Many of my relatives have found their last resting place in this beautiful, tranquil place, including my own parents.

This is Bethel School, across the road from the Church.  The hedge conceals the fact that it is now a private residence.  It was a one room school with a full basement and a wood burning furnace.  Many years has passed since I attended this school, for part of my first year of education..

Our home burnt in March of 1956 from a chimney fire and we moved up the road to the farm my Aunt and Uncle had sold my parents.  I went form a one room school house to one room per grade.  It took some time to adjust to the huge, new school in Minden, Ontario.  Those were the days.

This was the start of my search for adventure.  I learned at a very young age that there was lots to see and do, if one had the courage to look beyond your own personal back yard.  We look forward to many more years of adventure and travel.

The new pages are starting to take shape and we look forward to sharing them with you.

We also hope you have time to check out some of our sponsors.  They help keep this site on the web, as long as you the reader takes the time to check out some of the links.  They are real neat companies, with lots of interesting products.  Even if you don't buy on line, you are welcome to browse and then you will know what you are looking for when you go to their store.  They are all there for you!
