June 2008
Before we get started on the months activities, I want to say Happy 31st Anniversary to my brother Terry and his wife Shirley. It was June 4th, so we are a day or two late, but still want to pass on our good wishes this way. June flew by. I don't know where it went. We had many doctor appointments (both Doug and I) along with many test scheduled by the doctors and follow-up visits. Doug also had a minor surgery on his left wrist. Prior to the surgery, he had to have another physical, a pre-admittance interview at the hospital, a ECG and chest x-ray. All very time consuming but necessary. July will be a busy month for him also as he has to have more work on his right eye. This time it will be surgery. We are not looking forward to that day. I sure hope it goes well for him. We only have two eyes each and they are not to be messed with. Our vision is to important to us. What a world it would be without our vision. 8-( . June was also one week of work for me. It turned into 7 days, which was not a problem. I will only be working 31 days this year, so can't complain. Rather enjoy getting back into the office and talking to the girls, knowing that soon I will be away on another adventure. We also went over to visit our friends at Branton Cundick park. We were able to see, in order we saw them, Dean and Joan, Ed, Ab, Ruby, Dave and Dave's wife and son, Ralph and Gloria, and Fred and Rose. It was good seeing and chatting with everyone again. Everyone asked when we were going to go back to the park for a summer season. That we could not answer. Our son Jody wants us to find a park closer to Tilbury so that he can visit more. We will have to check those parks out to see if that is what we want to do. Between work and Doctors, we had very little time to play this month, so I will keep this post short and hope to post more often this coming month. I will be working two weeks this month, but we have fewer things to do on our Doctor says Do list. Once we get through Doug's eye operation, we will have some spare time. I will get some photos up soon of this area. Hope all the Father's had a Happy Fathers Day. Enjoy your summer. See you next month.
