Wow! another month has flew by. We don't know where spring has gone. This has been a very busy time for us. We have been kept busy with doctor visits and the follow-up appointments. Every spring is the same thing. We are lucky to have a Medical team that works so hard to keep us healthy. We really do appreciate their efforts and time. Doug is now scheduled for a new treatment on his right eye and also an operation on his left hand for carpal tunnel release. He will soon be as good as new. We have moved further down the road to Clearville Campground. It is owned by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent and has great seasonal sites and rates. We have a fantastic view of Lake Erie. It is quite windy but we have an evergreen tree right beside our coach which gives us plenty of shade so we really don't have a need for our awning. Between doctor appointments we have been visiting friends and family. We have had a very enjoyable dinner with our old neighbor Art. He is now in his 90's but still living by himself and doing a fine job of it. We always enjoy our dinners with Art. We go for fish and chips every spring and fall at the Rover's between Wallaceburg and Walpole Island. They have a great reputation for fish and chips. They are always excellent. We also drove up to Talbotville one day for lunch with Peggi and John. We all had a great chat and lunch at the Wayside Restaurant. It is fast becoming a favorite place to eat for us. Lunch was over way to soon and we returned to our campground after saying we would have to do it again some time soon. Peggi and John have lived this fulltime lifestyle for 23 years now. You can read about their adventures and numerous great links for this lifestyle at www.rvling.net. Peggi has hundreds of pages of information for Canadians and Americans alike. Her info is always up to date and very informative. She spends many hours every week working to keep this fantastic site so informative. We have added a new page to our site. We have put our couch up for sale. Doug's eyes will continue to degrade so we have decided to make adjustments now, so that we can continue with this lifestyle. I drive the couch, however I don't feel comfortable driving it in heavy traffic. It is the wide body style and my depth perception could be better. So, we have to make adjustments to continue on the open road. We hope to sell the coach this summer and then buy a pick-up truck to take to Texas with us. If we sell the coach we will put the fifth wheel in the truck and then bring the fifth wheel 31 foot trailer, home with us in the spring of 2009, that we bought this spring from a couple in Sault Ste Marie. If we don't sell the coach we will put in storage here in Ontario for the winter and drive our car to Texas for the winter in our fifth wheel trailer down there. We will then return in the spring of 2009 and get our coach out of storage, to be our summer home for the summer of 2009. We will continue to live in it during the summers until we sell it. This coach has been a great investment for us. We have traveled many happy miles in it, but we have to face reality if we want to safely continue to travel down the road. If you know of anyone looking for a great 35 foot Pace Arrow motor home that is ready to go anywhere they want to go, trouble free, please have them email us for further info. We will give them a great buy on it e-tested and certified. We have been experiencing strong winds from the lake, with all of the storms that have been traveling through here. We have been very lucky compared to many, with all of the flooding and severe weather including tornados and giant hail many have experienced. We hope all of the severe weather is behind us and people will be able to recover from all the damage created by nature. Life goes on and people are very resilient. It might take awhile but everyone bounces back. Our thoughts and prayers are with all that have suffered and we wish you a speedy return to normal life. I am going to end this post now and start on June. We will have more time to spare in June so hope to be able to bring everything up to date real soon. See you in June.
