Welcome May, we have been waiting for you. The weather will warm quickly now. We are still parked at our home address, in our son's driveway. We will be here another few days and then we will move to our seasonal site. We enjoy our stay here with our son and daughter-in-law. We have an appointment with our Doctor today to get our prescriptions renewed. Our Doctor writes enough for three months at a time, so we won't have to go back and see him until July, if all else is okay. May 2 - rained all night. I guess we need the rain to start the grass and flowers growing. We didn't do much of anything today. Just relaxed and stayed in where it is dry. May 3 - Rained again through the night. I like the sound of the rain on the roof. It is very relaxing. Doug went to meet friends at the Farmers Market just east of Chatham. I had a relaxing few hours to myself. Jody came home from work and Doug and Jody worked on the jeep. Jody wants it finished so that they can enjoy some of the rock crawling this summer. Doug enjoys helping Jody and gives him a chance to get his hands greasy again. May 4 - rained through the night again. At least it is at night. Could be worse and it is SPRING! Nothing much happened today. May 5 - Lots to do today. Jody, Rachael and I went to Essex and Windsor. Jody was looking for hard to find parts for the jeep and Dawg need some kibble from Costco. I wanted to stock up on vitamins. I don't have a Costco card anymore, because we very seldom used it and it just seemed a waste, but I do tag along occasionally with Jody and Rachael. Works for us. We were back from Windsor before noon. Doug was waiting. We were moving to Cathecart Park on the St. Clair River. Cathecart Park and Branton Cundick Park are both operated by Moore Township. Branton Cundick has an electrical problem, so we can't go there as planned. Our tanks are nearly full, so we asked if we could go to Cathecart for until Branton Cundick opens. They said "No problem", we said "Great, we will be there on May 5th" and today is the day. We stopped in Chatham and met a former co-worker for lunch at Swiss Chalet. Doug and Carol caught up on all of the gossip and then we were on our way to Cathecart. May 6 - We were up bright and early and on our way to Thedford. Russell is home from the hospital and thinks he will be strong enough to go for coffee at the local coffee shop. We are looking forward to seeing him again. He has lost a lot of weight, but he says the operation he had was successful, so that is what matters. Here is a photo of Russell's apple tree - we thought it was beautiful and a sure sign of spring is here to stay May 7 - Today is a day of rest and relaxation. We enjoyed watching the activities on the St Clair River. We always enjoy doing that. It is very relaxing and interesting. May 8 - I am considering purchasing a Directway Satellite system from Internet Anwhere 3i Communications. I really miss having internet. It is very costly, so I will have to find a way for it to pay for itself. Hopefully this web page will do that. May 9 - checked my phone this morning and realised I had missed a message from my previous employer. I could be going back to work part-time. I will have to wait and see what he says. We had heard that our friends Ralph and Gloria have a new trailer . We decided to drive down to Branton Cundick to see Ralph and Gloria and the new trailer. They weren't there of course, but we thought that they might have drove down from Sarnia for the day to spend in the park. We didn't think they would be spending the night there, because they didn't have electricity either. May 10 - was another day to watch the river. It is still cool, so we didn't stay outside very long. May 11 - Moving day again. We are going south 3 kms. approx. 1 1/2 - 2 miles on St. Clair Parkway. We will be on site 14 for the summer. We have a fantastic view of the St. Clair River. Great spot for the summer. Friday - May 12 - It is still cool and the campers that are here are staying inside. More of the seasonals continue to arrive, but not many of us are venturing out to say Hi, after not seeing them all winter. We will leave that for a warmer day. Armand from 3i Communications called and I think we have worked out a deal that we can afford for the satellite internet system. I am excited, Doug doesn't know what to think, besides thinking it is a waste of money. We will be going to pick it up in Lindsay next Wednesday. I can hardly wait. May 13 - Jody called to see what I wanted to do for Mother's Day. He said that he would call back in the morning to find out what I have decided. After much thought, I think he can take us out for dinner. We haven't been out to dinner together in several months. I would enjoy that, as much as anything. Sunday, May 14 - Jody called and we arranged our dinner date. We all had an enjoyable meal and some great conversation. Never have enough of days like this. Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's in the world. I hope you were all as fortunate as I was, to be able to spend an enjoyable few hours with your child or children. May 15 - Today is a work day for me in Chatham. Took a couple of days back at my desk to get used to everything, but I am on a roll. Hopefully, I can make my time here worth while to all concerned.
