May 27 - Today is still overcast and cool.  Looks like it will be a day that Doug will want to hold down the couch all day.  It will has also given me the opportunity to catch up on this site.  I have tons of work to do.  Finding the time right now is another situation.  Sooner or later, everything will slow down, and I will be able to get some updates done.

We hope you all have a good week.  See you next time.  Don't forget to slow down and smell the flowers.  There are many beautiful flowers in bloom right now.

May 26 - We are going to drive into Chatham today and have our yard sale - we hope!  The sky is very overcast, with possible rain later.

We arrived in Chatham at our friends house, around 7:45.  They had part of their yard sale items set out already.  We made quick work of setting some of our stuff out.  Then the rain came.  We covered stuff up and waited, but it continued to rain.  We decided it wasn't going to happen today.  We put everything away.  We hope next Saturday will be better.

May 25 - I am sure many of you are thinking TGIF!  Especially our American friends and readers.  We want to wish you all a good, safe Memorial Weekend.  Drive safely, whether you are just going around the block or across the country.  Have fun, slow down and enjoy.

We didn't do much today.  We are going to have a busy day tomorrow, so relaxed today.

May 24- We all know, by now,  that Jordan was the winner, so now it is time to move on.  Our Canadian Idol series starts June 10th.  I don't know if Doug will find it interesting enough to watch or not.  He usually slept through American Idol, so, depending what night Canadian Idol is scheduled on, will depend on whether I watch it or not.  The first one is on a Sunday night.  Lets hope the rest of them are on Tuesday and Wednesday, otherwise there will be something better to watch, even if it is re-runs.

We were all up early.  The aroma of freshly perked coffee has a way of bringing you to full alert very quickly.  For the past two months I have been starting the coffee before going to bed.  At six o'clock in the morning, the coffee maker turns on and we wake up to freshly brewed coffee.  This feels like a little bit of luxury to me.  Even though I make it the night before, I feel pampered not having to prepare the coffee first thing in the morning, when I am only half awake.  We seem to have a more consistent flavor to the coffee this way also. 8)

Jody said he would have whatever we were having for breakfast.   Did he ever get a surprise!  We were having oatmeal.  I have been having oatmeal 6 mornings a week for about 6 months now.  Doug started eating the scrubbers about three weeks ago, after he was told once again, that his cholesterol was way to high.  He says the scrubbers (oatmeal) is going to get all the bad stuff out of his blood vessels.  We both hope it works.

Jody had hooked the trailer onto his truck last night, so after breakfast, Doug and I got into our car and Jody got into his truck.  We followed Jody and the trailer into Chatham.

Within an hour, we were in Chatham.  Jody backed the trailer into our friends driveway and was away.  He had to go home, shower and go to Windsor to pick his tux up for his brother-in-laws wedding on Saturday.

Doug started some breathing classes today.  I dropped him off and he will be finished at noon.  I checked out the Bulk Barn and Zellers, while he was learning how to breath properly.  Today is very hot, so I didn't want to sit in the car waiting for him to be finished.

We made a couple more stops, including the Farmers Market, where we had lunch with our nephew Doug and returned to the bay.  Today we appreciate the bay area being cooler, then in the city.

May 23 - We  continued to work on sorting the trailer.  We have gone over everything several times and keep finding more that can go.  It is amazing how much or how little you really need, when your space is limited and you really analyze what is important in you lift.

Material THINGS just don't seem as important to us, as they once were.  I, for one, find it very liberating, not to be weighed down with material things.

Tonight we find out who the American Idol 2007 is.  We did not vote, but feel confident that it will be Jordan.  She has the who physical package and the rest she can be taught.

Jody is coming to stay with us for tonight.  Tomorrow he will move our storage trailer to our friends place in Chatham, for the yard sale on Saturday.

We had homemade fish and chips for dinner.  Rachael doesn't like fish, so I thought that this would be something Jody would enjoy having for a change.  It didn't take long to peel and slice the potatoes, ready for the deep fryer.  The fish was thawed out and ready for the near-beer batter.  After soaking the french fries for awhile, I drained them and deep fried them.  When they were partially cooked, I removed them and started dipping and deep frying the fish fillets.  The coleslaw was made earlier, chilling in the fridge.  After the fish was cooked and the french fries finished in the hot oil, we all enjoyed a nice Fish and Chip dinner with all the trimmings including Malt vinegar.  Yum!  We don't have fish and chips very often, because of all the calories and fat, but today we decided to enjoy.

May 22 - Full-time RVers usually have a sticks and stones storage area somewhere.  In this storage area they keep all the items that they just cannot part with, for one reason or the other.  We have a storage unit also, but ours is on wheels.  We have recently down-sized form a 24 x 8 ft storage trailer to a 12 x 7 ft storage trailer.  There are still to many items in the trailer and we spent the best part of today identifying and moving to the back of the trailer, items which we plan on getting rid of.  Many of the items will find their way to a yard sale we are having this weekend at a friend's place in Chatham.  Many others found their way to the dumpster here in the park.  Some of the papers we had been saving, can now be disposed of.  They were of a confidential nature, so we had a bonfire with them.  All the paper lightened the trailer by at least 100 pounds.  The rest of this week will be spent sorting the trailer.

We wrapped up the day by watching American Idol.  This is the first season we have watched this show.  To us the best part of the show is the interaction of the contestants and the judges.  We believe that Jordon will be the new American Idol for 2007.  Tomorrow night will tell the story.

May 21 - We had been looking forward to this day for a couple of weeks.  We had attended a Online Internet Seminar in Chatham, and they invited us to this one today in Windsor.  The seminar is supposed to be about marketing online.

We were in Windsor at the seminar location, by 8:45 a.m.  The seminar commenced at 9 a.m.  Very quickly we determined that it was more about selling their product to us, then teaching us what we wanted to know.  We hung in there, in case we could learn something.  After all, we had driven over an hour to get to the seminar and we wanted to make it worth our effort.   They served a nice lunch.  After lunch it was more of the same, so we left at 5:30 p.m.  We stopped for a quick burger on the way home and was still back in time to see our favorite Monday night TV programs.  It was a very long day so we turned in early.
