As the Google Earth shot shows, the park has lots of trees. The main part of the transient RV sites are in the trees, towards the top right of the photo. It is called The Loop. All the sites are well shaded, and the lay-out of the sites seem to go in all directions. The Loop does have sewer hook-up and there is also a dump station. We prefer staying on a site along the road that is to the top left in the Google Earth shot. We get good satellite signal for both our TV and Internet satellites. We also have a ring side view of all the activities in the park. If you follow the road that goes across the Google earth shot, from right to left, the road disappears into the top, left of the photo. This road goes on to the "Members Only" section. There is a sign on a gate type entrance that says "Membership has its Privileges". That smacks of discrimination to me. We assume that they mean Home Park Members. They have a large clubhouse along with the "special" area sites. To be a "Home Park" member you have to have purchased a home park membership at that individual park. Along with the home park membership, you usually also receive other camping memberships like ROD, AOR, C to C, RPI, Thousand Trails or Western Horizons to name a few. This is the only park we know, that segregates its "Home Park Members" from the rest of the Campground Membership Members. We do not know why or for what reason, they continue to segregate their Home Park Members. We were here in Dec. 2006 when they had their Christmas light show.. The Christmas lights were well worth seeing. We stop here for one week at a time, using our ROD membership. Usually we stay on our journey south for the winter and again in the spring as we are returning north. There are numerous activities here, all the time. You can do as much or as little as you like. The roads are great for bicycling and if have a horse, bring it along. They have barns and correls for your four legged friend and many safe trails to ride on. If I still had my horse, I would love to ride on these trails. They would also be good for four-wheelers, but I don't know if they are allowed. You could check it out with the following link. They need to trim trees in the Loop. There is very little chance of getting a satellite signal in the Loop. The cable TV connections are basically non-existent. It is a good thing cable is free. We stayed in the section with no sewers last fall. We were able to get good satellite for both TV and internet at A-228. We also had a ring side seat for the Spirit of the Suwannee Christmas parade. The following information is taken from the 2007 Resorts of Distinction Directory Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park GPS Latitude: 30.394591 Longitude: -82.943983This park is a Resorts of Distinction only, not a Resorts of Distinction Plus. We are Resorts of Distinction Plus members, but because this is a Resorts of Distinction only park, we can stay here 1 week, twice a year for free. If it was a Plus park we would be able to stay two weeks, twice a year for free.
