We don't know where the summer has gone.  July was a month of doctor appointments and visiting with family members.  The month came and went with no real major events.  It was a great month, which kept us busy, but no real memorable highlights.

We did have a beautiful rainbow over Lake Erie.  We could see both ends of it from our site overlooking the lake.

The rainbow was awesome.  It is hard to see the end of the rainbow in the lake, but it is there.

There was also some work done in July.  I only worked 7 days.  The Friday of one week, all the next week and the following Monday.  July seemed to fly by and the beginning of August was here before we knew it.

We celebrated our fourth year of full-timing on Aug. 7th.  It is hard to believe that we have been enjoying this great lifestyle for four years.  We are still enjoying it, and have no desire to move back into a stick and brick home for many more years to come.

August was more work, doctors for both of us, and great meals shared with friends and family.  The best part of the meal is sharing it with our friends and/or family.

We also spent some time trying to locate Doug's Great great grandfather in the 1851 Ontario Census.  We might have found him, but more research is necessary.  We have been able to locate his Maternal Grandmothers family right back into the 900's.  A very interesting family line.  A relative in England has also shared his Fathers maternal line back to 1620.  It is a great hobby, which both of us enjoy sharing.

We wrapped up the month of August with a visit from my brother Terry and wife Shirley.  We also went to our great nephews wedding on Aug. 30th.  Josh and Stacey held their wedding outside on the beautiful grounds of Deer Run Golf Club.

August was also a month of more work days.  I started working on Friday, Aug. 8th and worked Monday to Friday for the next two weeks and Aug. 25th.  It has been so long since I have worked that many days in a row that I was mentally exhausted at the end of my work days.  I did enjoy getting back to work, but was also very happy when my 12 work days were at an end.

We have lots to accomplish in Sept. before we start our journey south for the winter.  We will have another busy month.

Take care people and enjoy your family and friends.  Life is short.  Enjoy the moment, we never know what tomorrow will bring.

See you next time......
