Oct. 7-We are on our way.  We took the satellite internet dish down on Thursday, because we didn't know how long it would take or where we were going to  store it.  We needed the time to get that all worked out.  We arrived in Tilbury in good time, after fueling the coach at the Petro Can service center on the 401, between the two 401 exits for Tilbury.  We used our GM bonus card that saves us $0.20 a liter.  We saved  $26.78 and the fuel still cost us $83.  We were only down a half tank.  I wouldn't want to have to fill it from empty.

We got backed in and plugged in at Jody and Rachaels.  We have water onboard and there is no sewer here to use.  We are all set though with all the conveniences of home.

The TV satellite was up and locked on, before Doug came in the coach.  I have done this so many times that the co-ordinates are automatic.  No searching necessary.  We decided to assemble the internet satellite after lunch.  We had it assembled very quickly, but I couldn't remember which satellite we were supposed to be on and I couldn't find my set up book.  It had to wait, because I had cabbage rolls to make.

Rachael is very busy this weekend.  She is in her friend Cathy's wedding party and today she has an appointment to get her nails done.

The cabbage rolls were well on there way to the oven by the time she returned.  Rachael helped finish the second roasting pan of cabbage rolls and I put a pot of cabbage soup on with the left over cabbage.  Doug is the only one that doesn't like the cabbage rolls and cabbage soup, so he gets meatloaf for supper.  He likes that idea.

We all enjoyed our supper and visit.  We will have to do this again sometime soon.

The location of the missing installation book came to me, as I was assembling the cabbage rolls.  First thing this morning I went through the installation, took my computer out and set it on the back deck where I could see it, and was locked on in a matter of seconds.  This wasn't so bad.

I finished posting the month of May, 2006.  You can find the first half here and the last half here.

Oct. 4 - Rain, rain GO AWAY! - It rained hard all night.  The ditch between the campground and field was flooded.  The ground was saturated.

100_2301 (Small).jpg (46497 bytes)The little footbridge was flooded at both ends.  There were several small ponds along the course of this occasional stream.  It is only like this after large rains.

This is the field that the Girl Guides had their event in last Saturday.  You can see how neat and tidy they left it.

Here is some photos of Branton Cundick Campground.  Look how large the sites are

100_2307 (Small).jpg (75785 bytes)My back is to the river and you can see our site.  We are in the center of the photo with the blue car.  We have had a very good view of St. Clair River and all the boats this summer.  That is one thing I will miss seeing, when we are not at this park.

We are moving to our son's driveway on Friday so it will be a couple of days before I am able to post again.

Happy Thanksgiving to all Canada.

Oct. 2nd & 3rd were work days.  I won't bore you with more of the same details.  The 3rd was my last work day of the year.  I will miss my chats with the girls of the office.

I was stopped by Rose, another seasonal at the park.  She invited us to a campfire.  I didn't really feel like going after talking for 8 hours at work, but Doug said that I could sit and relax at the fire, as easy as here.  I had to agree.  We had a light supper and went to the fire.  We are glad that we went, as this will be the last campfire we are at, at this park.  We leave on Friday and will be moving on next summer.

Several seasonals were at the campfire and we all enjoyed one last visit.  We will be back to visit next summer, just won't be staying.  We were back early and tucked into bed for the night.

Oct. 1, 2006 - We awoke to a beautiful, sunny fall day.  The Girl Guides would have appreciated a day like this yesterday, but it wasn't to be.

We are going to enjoy the day.  We have more on our list of things to do before we leave.  Today we are sanitizing our fresh water tank.  The link gives you a great How To.

After we finished the tanks we had a Pie Iron Party to go to at the Farlows.  We all ate to much as we enjoyed a100_2299 (Small).jpg (70507 bytes).    There was about 30 of us that came to enjoy each others company and the great Pie Iron lunch.  Some of my photos didn't take, so we only have this one to share with you.

The rest of the day was quiet and we just watched TV and the view through our coach windshield of the river and its traffic.
